Template Letter Of Reconsideration For Awol

NO, I 've not forgotten!

NO, there are no pirates!

NO, we have not had any trouble!

YES, I AM LAZY. This is the real reason I have not added a text recently.

That said, here's a summary of our crossing of Lake Michigan, which was great. We were about 2-3 miles from the edge. Side "is" Lake Michigan beach is formed over its entire range, compared to a lot of rocks on the side "West". We sailed the days when there was little or no wind.

Leaving Mackinaw City, on Monday August 9
Arrival in Chicago, Saturday, August 28 -20 days

-12 -374 000 marinas (we have stays of 1 to 5 days a marina, depending on the weather).

We stayed two days in Chicago. This city is fantastic. Many buildings, very high. We took a guided tour "Trolley" (bus 2 floors open) and a wonderful tour "boat", although yes, you read correctly, in which we explained the architecture of buildings.

batteries for the fridge were connected by specialists, as provided and it works.

Believe it or not, I still have not had the chance to "park" the boat again. Supposedly, it's coming! I think the captain is no hurry to continue my training.

We learn new things regularly about BLUE MAX IV. Example.: For three days, we find that the water entering the toilet is strange color (like water cloudy or dirty). Yesterday we arrived in Peoria, Illinois, we agreed to empty our water reservoirs because the water would be dirty, even if the faucets throughout the boat was clean. After emptying and 2 rinses, we have found that water was coming down the toilet came directly from lakes or rivers. What a discovery! This tells you the quality of water for several days. Hopefully it will clear soon.

Sammy was sick a few days. It eats anything lying on the floor when he walks in the parks. Now it is a thing of the past, until next time.

The lock of Peoria has been closed all week for repairs. So we sailed to a snail's pace and extended our stay in marinas because the lock will be open from tomorrow only. We were informed that there could be delays of 3-4 hours before entering the lock, the first barges and pleasure boats in the second. As we are retired, why stress ourselves with that? Must take it cool ....
