Mobile Mobile, Alabama
Since September 30, we travel with DUCHESS (Bob & Ann Carroll) and appreciate their company. Given that the marinas were scarce on our journey, we enjoyed anchor wonderful to Mobile, Alabama. Since Wednesday, we are at the Dog River Marina. We had on board several specialists (electricians, mechanics, electronics technician and a carpenter) to perform some checks and minor repairs. Some are to confirm that Luke BLUE MAX was normal and "date", this prior to the crossing between Mobile and Tarpon Springs, Florida.
In two days, we will change marina to wait TADPOLE (Richard & Tiki) that are about 6 days behind us. We will sink so sweet during the past few days. We think we make by car New Orleans, Louisiana, which is about 140 miles from here. I hope to have the opportunity to listen to my favorite music: the blues.
Tomorrow, Bob & Ann depart by car towards home: Englewood, Florida. DUCHESS was removed from the water yesterday to allow employees of the marina to paint the bottom of their boat. They will return to Mobile in March to continue the journey. Before yesterday, we celebrated the 70th birthday of Bob.
Below you will find details of the journey between Chicago and MO Mobile, AL.
