In Chiang Mai, life was sweet, we bathed in a festive atmosphere and the most studious pleasant until we wanted to swim for good ...
Then such migratory birds we began our journey south.
After a pause Buddha in Sukhothai, a city that seemed well despite its poor reputation but very charming, we drove through rice fields and karst formations, sometimes the most amazing to Bangkok where we arrived at sunset. After an hour's taxi in the urban jungle to join another station, we followed just as dry with a night bus that took us up where we Rannong redesigned our visa because it was already about to expire (a month goes by so fast in Thailand) ...
Finally, we sailed to the island that we passed a motorcycle taxi ... After these 30 hours of travel we admired our first sunset on Koh Payam and we finally fall asleep, lulled by the sound of waves.
Koh Payam is not a particularly famous island in Thailand, there is electricity between 18 and 22 hours in most corners, no cars or even less ATMs of 7/eleven.
But there are two beaches, mangrove plantations of cashew and rubber.
The atmosphere is peaceful, the population is composed mostly of Thai but also as to Rannong of Burmese as well as chow air (sea gypsies), some expatriates and tourists.
But not too much.
This reason and the parents racontages Fornier who appreciated the corner two years ago led us to these shores.
We stayed in small bungalows are very simple, our neighbors were French, with whom we spent some good nights chatting, from all sources of robinsons installed for several months and faithful to the island for several years that fish spearing the day and enjoyed their fish at night or other lovers of peace, good atmosphere.
Depending on the day we shrapnel in the waves, or when visibility permitted we would watch the fish. We amused ourselves with many crabs t very numerous on the beach and some of which seemed straight out of a Miyazaki film with their large claws and lean their faces white and flat as bizarre masks.
When we adjourn nose, we could see sea eagles and if it sank in the countryside there are also kinds of hornbills and toucans miniatures.
Sometimes we change the beach, explore the island we rented bikes here but as everyone moves mob we looked a little lame ...
matter, among our many daily occupations that must be added the fact to discover the best places to eat, backgammon games, kittens and puppies to cuddle and sometimes "dances" in bars, the time passed very quickly.
We have celebrated Christmas without really celebrate feet in the water as high tide was at its peak and before a delicious grilled fish, thinking that if we could teleport our family for this evening it would be nothing nice.
meantime we were offered a wonderful gift: two days on board a boat to the Surin Islands where we reveled in underwater husbands with black tip sharks slippery among coral reefs and other wonders of the sea (if you remember the song "Under the Sea" in the movie "Little Mermaid" was exactly right). You can see that no one misses anything ...
On 25 December, after living for ten days the tides with sand in your bathing suits and wet hair we left for Bangkok.
A visit to the barber for Bruno who was really starting to look like a castaway needed, we also benefited from the big city make some small purchases and acquire a new visa.
We are preparing now to continue our adventures to Cambodia, knowing that the odds that we go back to drag our spats in Thailand is close to 99.99999% ... So light-hearted and full of desire to discover new uses and new feelings that we took the train this morning for the border.
We just happen to Battabang ...
We'll keep you posted of course, soon, especially you made lots of kisses!!
